Filmed this AT&T commercial 2 years ago and I’m just now seeing it for the first time! Probably would of been better to of never seen it at all…but it’s always fun to laugh at yourself!
The talent, the charm, the beauty and the humor, which Lauren Gottlieb exudes in her everyday life, also carries through to her performances both on-screen and on the dance floor where she has so very quickly established herself as one of Hollywood’s rising stars and one of the most sought-after dancers in the country.
After winning over America on Fox Network’s hit reality series, “So You Think You Can Dance,” Lauren emblazoned herself through to the final six contestants. Lauren hardly missed a beat and soon every major choreographer in the business wanted to work with her and multi-platinum recording artists were lining up to have her on tour performing with them.
For the 2007 Grammy Awards, Lauren performed along side “Shakira,” and then almost immediately then found herself rehearsing with “Mariah Carey” for her upcoming world tour and making appearances on such national headline shows as “Good Morning America.” This past year at Fox Network’s request, Lauren returned to the network for American Idol’s “Idol Gives Back” special with several of her fellow “So You Think You Can Dance” cast-mates.
Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, Lauren knew she wanted to dance at the age of 7 years old. She trained in jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, tap, and musical theater and describes her style of dance as a mix of contemporary, jazz-funk and hip-hop. In 2006, Lauren relocated to Los Angeles to continue the pursuit of her dance career and very soon after began working with noted choreographer Tyce Diorio with whom she assisted during Season 2 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” She ended up joining the cast for the following year’s season.
Most recently, Lauren has performed side by side with Miley Cyrus in her new “Hannah Montana: The Movie” Feature Film, released earlier this year. She has also continued to develop upon her on-screen abilities performing opposite Kim Kardashian and Vanessa Minnillo as a cheerleader in the feature film, “Disaster Movie,” and in the feature film “Bring It On: Fight To The Finish.”
She has also recently finished up several television projects such as “the Teen Choice Awards,” “Glee,” “Ghost Whisperer,” “Nip Tuck,” “Paula Abdul Tribute,” and “Nike’s - Rock Your Body Workout.” In 2009, Lauren was also asked to return to Fox Network’s continued hit show “So You Think You Can Dance – Season 5” as one of the show’s headline Choreographers. A true testament not only to her abilities, but America’s continued interest and excitement in her performances.
Lauren’s love of performance never seems to wane and she continues to dance for some of Hollywood’s most noted industry events including “Nike,” “Macy’s Passport,” “Nickelodeon’s Best New Talent of the Year” and “Monsters of Hip Hop Roadtrip.”
Somehow, in the midst of Lauren’s amazingly crazy schedule she still makes the time to continue to train and hone her art with some of today’s best an most notable choreographers including Mia Michaels, Wade Robson, Brian Friedman, Tabitha and Napoleon, Dave Scott and Chuck Maldonado among others. As a teacher herself and choreographer, Lauren has worked with Tobey McGuire, Broadway Dance Center, Co-Dance, West Coast Dance Explosion and Tremaine.
All of these things, in sum total continue to enhance and express her love of expression and her dreams of the performance……
